Triple Celebration

Time flies really so fast that I can’t believe that my daughter Danielle will be turning 5 this coming October 7 and at the same time we will be celebrating our 6th year Wedding Anniversary on the exact day! Whew! Does it mean I’m getting older too? Oh no- reality bites! :)

Two months from now, I will throw a birthday party for my daughter and at the same time it will be my son’s Christening or shall I say Child’s Dedication. By that time, my son will be 5 months old. As part of the preparation I’m looking for a venue wherein we can have our triple celebration. Aside from that, I need to find birthday cakes at Shari’s and that includes not just my daughter’s birthday cake but also for my son’s christening cake as well. Ops! Don’t forget our wedding anniversary cake too.

Yummy Sunday: Birthday Cake

cake

I know you are so familiar with this cake. A birthday cake from Kathryn’s Bakeshop (one of my favorites)…So yummy!

The story behind this cake was, it was my immediate supervisor’s birthday last June. I gave an idea to my my co-officemates that we will surprise our madam when she comes back after her birthday leave. Indeed, she was really surprised a day after her special day shen she saw it in her table plus her basket full of balloons.

Since then, everytime we have a birthday celebrant in the “budget section”, we always see to it to give her something special. Thanks to my idea! lolz!

Cancelled Invitation

Last Sunday, our church mates invited us for their daughter’s birthday party today but sad to say that we cannot attend thinking that we will have our vacation in our hometown until tomorrow. Our plan was definitely change that we opt to go home just last night. Hubby and I planned to go to the party with our daughter but I guess we still we need to take some rest from a very long and tiring travel. Aside from that, we need to go to the nearest mall to buy some birthday presents for the two lovely birthday celebrants and of course a gift card as well. Hope we can make it next time!

Happy Birthday Ruth!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you!

To all birthday celebrators for the month of April…

Is He A Man Yet?

Being physically mature but at the same time mentally and morally young is a complicates stage in one’s life. Preparing oneself for maturity means a lot of responsibilty- to oneself and to others.

Being responsible means:4b5f9e4983eab3f6

  • being accountable for one’s own decisions and actions
  • being sensitive to other people’s needs and feelings

Responsibility is essential to being a man, and it only becomes evident once a teenager reaches maturity. Irresponsibility is obvious when a man is incapable of fulfilling his duties, admitting his mistakes, or when he deliberately hurts other people. Responsibility involves morality, which means being fair and kind in one’s dealings with others.

A strong sense of responsibility comes with maturity.

Being mature means:

  • knowing the difference between right and wrong, standing up for one’s beliefs but also being tolerant of other people’s ways
  • acts responsibly and thinks about how his actions would affect other people

Physical maturity takes place naturally, but emotional maturity is a lot more complex. People mature at different rates and it’s hard to tell the age when a person achieves maturity.

To all wives ou there, is your husband a man yet? Only you can answer this…
